BAUHAUS BAUNSHAUS
Capp Street Project—the first visual arts residency in the US dedicated to the creation of new art installations—will celebrate their 30th birthday blowout at Wattis Institute on February 18, 2014. Will Brown was one of two "artists" commissioned to create new work for the occasion. What's a birthday party in the Mission without a bounce house? And what's an art historical birthday party in the Mission without a Bauhaus-inpired bounce house? I'm sorry to say we did it. Special thanks to Jesi Khadivi, Anthony Huberman, and Happy Jump.
Event features Will Brown, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Jeremy Deller, Kota Ezawa, Jonn Herschend, Chris Johanson, DJ Erica “Wanna Hang Out?” Johnson, Tony Labat, Tim Lee, Byron Peters, Leah Rosenberg, Stephanie Syjuco, Cassie Thornton, and Shirley Tse. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
